@Groek123 i want to try that

@MatthewKlees so you have to be handicapped to create something innovative? its just a new way to ride a board man, im not sure what your bitching about.
-
@slapthecheeta Dude,I never questioned his ability, Yes he one of the greatest surfers but don't be naive ... Realistically how can you possibly justify that as actually surfing ? its not when your being assisted by a device ! ... Oh ok lets just throw similier devices on skate boards, mountain bikes and figure skates etc ... The point is ... Yes, its very ingenious designed board ... but he's not handicapped, he still has many years of surfing left in him ! And he's not an athlete so just stop

Laird got fucked up prretty good on his foil....he hit some kelp and folded his foot in half.
-
@MatthewKlees ..... you must not know much about surfing. hes one of the most revered surfers of all time. he should be compensated for the time he's put into the sport and the waves he's pioneered. your cynical bullshit isnt welcome
-
@nootaramus A close variant of that design was tried and failed to work. No control. Also the turbulence/cavitation of the leading foil made the trailing foil worse than useless. Nice idea though.

@MandolinCafe I'd like to see you paddle into Pe'ahi when sets are 25-50 feet on the face or Cortes Banks when the waves are 40 to +70 feet on the face. Come back call someone lazy when you have video of you paddling into those monsters.

@ShortSurferBoy Really? I saw tow-ins at Teeahupoo and Maverick's just this last year, and it IS impossible to surf Pe'ahi (a.k.a. Jaws) without tow-ins. You HAVE to tow-in there because otherwise it is suicide. The surf will slam you into the rocky beach, either seriously injuring or killing you so you need a J-ski there. The Strapped Crew invented the foil board so you can surf Pe'ahi when the wind would otherwise make it otherwise impossible with the chop.

@PukkPukk Check out "Step Into Liquid" and watch them use the foilboard on waves 100 miles off the California coast at Cortes Bank. They were riding +60 footers and that was with *2nd gen* foilboards in '01-'02. New boards have wider foils, are designed specifically for foilsurfing (not just surfboards with a foil attached), and are easier to ride/control now. Eliminates surface effects such as chop and wind. Easier on your knees and legs, i.e. you can ride more sets.
