ok, take a copper wire and put it at either end, doesn't matter which, then put a magnet on the other end, but you can connect it with something like a screw (between magnet and battery) to reduce friction, then touch the copper wire to the magnet, and Viola! a homopolar motor! the propeller is probably just glued to the magnet...

Nice, but do you have to use a disk magnet? (Can you use a cube or some other shape?) And does it have to be a neodymium magnet?

Nice work, it is a nice motorized propeller xD, but i have one question, how did the nail thats holding the propeller held in the battery?
I always liked these kind of things, and i would like to make one but i dont know how =(
