I like this Barbara better than the one in the remake. In this version, she's mental and scared in the whole movie, adding to the creepiness. In the remake, they made her a female Rambo halfway through the film, all in the name of political correctness. I am by no means a sexist, but it seems nowadays you can't have a tough guy in movie without having a tough female as well. I am proud of the fact more women are looking out for themselves, but political correctness is killing good ideas.
