It's better to have strong hands and forearms and pretty much normal looking rest of your body than a strong upper body without any handstrength.

Arm wreslting is so fucked up uncontrolled. If I wanted to measure some guys arm strength I will put him to pull or push some balanced machine or bar with nicely known measures. This thing of letting guys bend wrists, grab table edges, hang their upper bodies from the arm, etc, is a total mess.
