The Humber Bridge has linked East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire across the Humber Estuary in north-east England since 1981. It is the world's longest single-span suspension bridge that you are allowed to walk or cycle across, with a main span of 1410m and total length of 2220m. (There are currently five bridges with longer main spans, but they are only open to motor traffic.) Cycling across the Humber Bridge is a thrilling experience, and the best way to appreciate this remarkable piece of engineering. This shows a journey from Barton, on the south side, to Hessle, on the north side. (There is no sound.)

  • Looks that the Humber Bridge is much better than cycling on London's bridges.
