English is an amalgamation of Latin and Germanic languages, with other stuff thrown in too, probably.
I agree with you, I'm learning French as a second language and it is more difficult to learn.
People just have an endless capacity to moan about things that aren't really important, like 'perfect' english, despite the fact that english was originally devised as a means of communitation for two people that didn't speak the same language.
Silly people.
