im not gonna lie.. i think my church peforms this song better.. lol. but i love this song!!.. maybe its cuz my brother leads worship and im biased haha.
Redemption means you have received God's blessing in forgiveness. And if you sin after that point, it's because you choose to.
Someone who hasn't accepted Christ is a sinner. Thus, sin Nature. Someone that's received Christ is a Saint, who if sins, is making a choice to go against the new nature they've gained in Jesus Christ. Seriously in love ppardee, may I suggest a book: Driven by Eternity by John Bevere
Thanks for the recommendation. I will add it to my book list.
One thing I love about the bible is that it leaves PLENTY of room for interpretation. It means different things to different people.
I have accepted Christ, but my fundamental self did not change when I did. I am on a journey to become more Christ-like. I am in a constant battle to fight my sinful nature and habits and to be good, not fighting my good nature and consciously choosing to be sinful.
The Bible says that all have sinned and it says that we aren't all perfect but we can strive to be what God expects many times. Yes, someone who hasn't accepted Christ is a sinner, but that doesn't mean that someone who has accepted Christ isn't. When we accept Christ, we're still in earthly bodies. As Christians, we choose to put mind over body. Sometimes those urges get too strong. It's not that they're making a choice to go against, it's that they have a lack of control, which is sinful.
It is possible however, to be live by the flesh, which I believe is what ppardee meant. If we live by the flesh without any regard for God, then the power of Christ really did not work in us at all.
I agree with you except I would probably say it different. Because the power of God doesn't just 'not work.' If we live by the flesh without any regard for God, then we're on a path of choosing to walk away from the Salvation. Deut 31:8 Says: The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. But, it doesn't say we can't leave him. If you pour your life into the promises of God, with a Holy life, according to his Word. You will be saved.
why is it that you can't just watch these videos and enjoy the worship without bashing each other with who knows the bible better.....come on......You are missing what it's all about...
