SamiZaatari feels that non-believers are being hypocritical with regards to the response to Christopher Hitchens' death by some beleivers (mostly Christians).

I explain why he is wrong.

  • I don't know why Christians would want God to meet Hitch anyway. If anyone could embarrass God through a debate causing God to apologize for all his crap. It would have been Christopher Hitchens.

And since God didn't make a personal showing on Fox News I'm counting that as proof of his lack of existence.

  • @xdassinx

Hahahaha. I like the way you think!

  • Dear SiriusMined,

I agree with you 100% my friend. <3

The tragic death of WilliamCardno was also excuse for some Christians to ram the threat of Hell down our throats. And the point which DarkMatter2525/DarkAntics always makes about how Christians post prayers and thank Jesus on the Internet in order to show off and brag that they are better than non-believers appears to be the flip-side of this coin.

Indeed, if their God does exist, I hope he will be just enough to punish their arrogance.

  • @Ujames1978 "if their God does exist, I hope he will be just enough to punish their arrogance."

    Amen, James.

  • We don't have to respect the dead...we just saw it coming that the religious would say dead atheists are in hell, which means we will all go to hell. It's just the same old shit.

  • @fruitikay

Exactly, Jay. It's their favorite tactic

  • @YY4Me133 I've seen a lot of that too. Especially since Hitch died. They seem to think that somehow we're bad people if we attack what they're saying. They don't get that they can't just toss claims around and expect people to be convinced without having to deal with the challenging of said claims.

  • @Desertphile I get the joke, but it's sad that they don't, because they just aren't there anymore. At the same time, they die thinking they're going to wonderland, so...

  • @Desertphile They also convert to worm food.

  • Every theist in the world converts to atheism after they die.

  • Theists can voice their opinions all they want, about the living and the dead, but when they complain about being challenged for what they said, because they think no one has the right to do so, they prove, once again, that they think they're the only ones allowed to express opinions. I've seen a lot of that since Hitchens died: "How dare you attack me for saying what I think?" They don't want equality, they want dominance.

  • @prodigyat9

My feeling exactly, pat9. It was comically ironic, although it would have been moreso if it wasn't so tragic.
