Here is yet another hard to find Phil Collins music video featuring the Collins family past and present. One of the kids playing the drums is Phil's son, Simon, who can also be seen in the Batman shirt. Be sure to do a YouTube search on "Simon Collins" to hear some of his music. He is a chip off the ole block, and has done a remake of his father's Genesis song "Keep it Dark", which is fantastic.

  • Who knows if anyone reads this, but for those who do I don't expect you to care or understand. I'm a 17 year old young man who loves Phil Collins, This song was played at my Dads funeral, he was tragically killed in a traffic collision on his way home from work in summer 2011. After his funeral my mum told me that he always wanted to tell me the lyrics to this song... he never got around to it. Now whenever I hear this song I instantly think of him and his smile. Always brings me to tears :'(.

  • @blackhawk1804 I understand, and am deeply sorry for your loss. I also love Phil's music, and everything Genesis! Although Phil wrote this song for his son Simon, we can all identify with it when thinking about our fathers and the fatherly advise they pass down. If you look behind you, he'll always be there.

  • The kid that is in this video is the same kid???

  • @minonior No, some shots have Phil as a child, both with his father and mother. Phil is in the boat, for instance. There is also a shot of Phil as a child playing drums, but that one shows him farther away towards the back, and he is playing with other adults in the room playing other instruments.

  • the FACT is PHIL COLLINS couldn't do any wrong in the 80's. It was a gift from God and he shared it with the world. THANK YOU PHIL ! Enjoy your retirement, you earned it my friend.

  • This song literally made me shed a tear but fuck it - it was worth it. I sometimes forget how lucky I am to have a dad around and this song reminded me in a torrent of terrific musical brilliance. Thanks Phil. You're probably the best musician that will have ever done music. I don't see you ever being outshined.

When I last "left this song" a few months back I was feeling pretty pessimistic about things.
