2001 Cracker Barrel 500: Kenseth's fiery wreck

On lap 274, fifth-place Matt Kenseth falls victim to the same fate as teammate Mark Martin did earlier in the event, engine failure...albeit in a much more spectacular way.

This was before Matt Kenseth's team was good, they made gains every year and they won the title, still being a one-win champion took the life out of that 2003 year. Kenseth won it but he could have won a few more.

it took him 9 years to win at Daytona, guys have won Daytona in only thre second try, he won the championship in only three years, thats pretty nice

Bunch of b.s not saying ur not right but if they knew it would help they should of have made it mandatory to wear. This could of have been prevented instead of nascar using excuses. "

Now the H.A.N.S device was used before Earnhardt's death why didn't nascar mandate it when it was invented?

Man oh man, he does a nice job of hanging on to that car while it was on fire. If he would of hit that wall head on, boy that would have been bad. The safety on these cars are just so amazing.
