@RandyGblues Thanks for sharing! I'll bet she's just as talented now as she was then. I want to learn the lap dulcimer, I did build my own banjo a few years back and gave it to a child who plays it all the time now. :)
@RandyGblues I read recently that she had a stroke in 2009 and wasnt able to communicate until 2010 I guess she just started talking and laughing again
Many years after this was made, sometime in the 1980's I had finished building a lap dulcimer, which I still have. Shortly thereafter there was a folks music festival in a mountain park in LA. There were vendors and various class sessions (outdoors, of course). In a small class of a dozen or so people, I got to sit about ten feet from Jean and learned a couple of songs from her. She's 88 now, and still around, and I hope she keeps playing for another 88 years.
