This was UC Berkeley's presentation that received 1st place in Presentations (one of 4 categories) in Alabama on June 12th, 2009. The canoe this year was named, "Bear Area". The Concrete Canoe competition is a competition between schools across the nation in which Civil Engineering students design a canoe based on hydrodynamic properties, perform structural analysis to ensure that the canoe doesn't crack, design the concrete to make it strong enough and light enough so that it floats, and build the canoe to be raced. This year in 2009, the team won 1st Overall at Nationals as well, for the first time since 18 years!

You used the wrong "to/too" in two different places. Concrete Canoe is not just a "school project," but is instead an intermural civil engineering competition with teams coming from universities all over the United States and Canada. Concrete Canoe IS fun. You do work hard on it, but it's worth it.

On the contrary, it is you who sounds like a cunt. Why don't you listen to the other presentations from Nationals last year? Then you'll see that these are supposed to be formal presentations given in a professional tone. Maybe you'll see why whatever team you just joined didn't win and why this one did.

I just joined concrete canoe. The girl narrating this sounds like a cunt. Why don't you just speak in your natural voice?

slightly nauseating to listen too, looks like somebody spent way to much time on a school project. you guys need to chill out and learn to have fun, not always work work work... granted it was pretty impressive
