I really like Roy Dean belt exam video, but i really dont understand why he ask for leg locks? Becouse this kind of movement just allowed on purple or bronw/black belt in BJJ

Nicely done!

@mmahoss Roy Dean is known for tapping to his students to help their confidence and help to make them as best as they can be. He would never lose to any of his students in a real match.

Geesh, what's it take to get a black belt? Fight 5 guys at the same time AND diffuse the bomb? xD Good stuff.

So true. Plus, bjj is a sport that doesn't play the belt game like most martial arts. You have great blue belts and terrible brown belts. It all comes down to training. Even if you have a brown or black belt, you still have the same skills as if you were wearing a white one.
Simply: getting the belt isn't the goal, getting the system is.

nelson, its not about how long you train, but how much knowledge you are able to retain and keep with you so you have the ability to use it under pressure. Styles like karate or taekwondo will tell you how long you need to be there to get a black belt, but bjj in my opinion is more realistic about their belt system

how long would it take to get a blue belt if you train 7 days a week

great school.I am envious

limpieza en el movimiento, excelente!
Looks very sharp for a blue belt! I'm more impressed with the instructor's humility, there are very few instructors in BJJ that will let thier ego go like that so that you can get the best training. You're lucky to be training with such a humble instructor!
