@Danny77uk We can't wait for you to show us your amazing jobs so far, I mean those great games (by today's standards) you have designed by your own and without having been paid for. Please, just show some respect for the people who does something creative (even if it is so little for you), or just shut your trap up.

Look up 'Oolite'. It's a free remake and a very, very good one. They also have add on packs (also for free) that make the game amazing.

So you throw some 3d objects together and call it a tribute? Sorry no. This might have looked good in 1996 but it's Pong by today's standards, even the demo scene.

Don't mind him. Writing a game is hard enough. Besides, like you said it's still work in progress. I'm glad you're making a tribute for an excellent game. The more Elite fans, the better. I hope more fans will stimulate Braben to get a move on with his Elite IV project. Can't he see the world doesn't give a .... about his Outsider game? He should do what he's good at: make a sequel to the best open ended free roaming spacegame series ever!

Anyway if you're interested, you'll can see on my other videos on youtube my progress on the develop. Now i've intrdouced phong lighting, normal mapping and shadow maps and it looks like more "nextgen" ;)
