My earliest memory of the building, when the station was KSTM-TV, channel 36, was Penny Wise's homemaking show when the stagehands sent a wind-up mechanical mouse onto the kitchen set when she was on the air. She handled the moment well. Not so well the day she had to stretch and resorted to the painted window with painted children in a painted back yard for a topic.
