IN THIS VIDEO, watch as this F-14 Tomcat is put through its paces in a very dynamic demonstration over NAS Oceana. This was the last public demonstration at NAS Oceana during a full demo year for the crew from VF-101. While there was only one demo in 2005, that year was not a full demonstration year for the F-14.

First of all the f-18 cant do what the f-14 could most tomcats pilots say the f-18 sucks

Having them all destroyed so there would be no potential theft of parts for these planes is proof at how far superior the Tomcats were compared to F18's. They fell victim to lobbyist politics.

Some of the F-14s where given on loan to air museums , some of them sits in the desert as war reserve however the majority of them are DESTROYED :( ,scraped to oblivion ..what a

shame.

THERE IS NON F-14 given or purchased by any civil or other organization except IRAN in the 80s and they still operate the F-14As.

The AF never operated the F-14s , so they don't have them ,the only one considering to operate the F-14s was the USMC but didn't at the end..

there have been a few retired planes that have been purchased personally, however they were required to have the engines removed from the aircrafts.
