I decide to see if the stand pipe has enough energy to run dual 2in ram pumps. The pumps are made out of 2in foot valves with the spring reversed on the opposite side to hold the valve open instead of closed. Spring pressure is critical and it pays to play around with different springs.
August, 08: Don't use springs as they will give you many headaches. Watch my video about modifying a foot valve using weights instead of springs. Springs suck!!!

If you want to see how much water is coming out at the upper end on top type in "dougs ram pump" in the search up above and view the "#4 supplemental"

  • If I can I will sue your sick ass's for what you did to me and my guests that day. Your kind are the worst kind of criminal there is. You insulted us and called us names as you threatened to shoot us. I hope God will not have mercy on your rotten souls if you even have one. You new world order hired guns will one day face a trial for your treason against us.

  • You must be one of those lowlife Modoc county cops who raided my farm military style looking for pot and didn't find any. Thanks for holding my guests at gun point with your m-16'S. i'll bet you enjoyed lying to the Judge to get your phony search warrant. You came to sieze it and you failed miserably because of the disgusting type of lying human scum that you are. You are nothing but a bunch of communist bastards out to destroy this country and it's citizens.

  • PS. Dump the springs and hang weights on the bottoms of the valves. You can get much more precise in dialing in the pulses per minute. Replace the valve stem with a larger stainless steel one and let it protrude through the valve so you can hang your weights on it. Plastic end caps suck as well replace with steel ones. Use as little plastic as possible or you will be fixing it soon. With only 6 feet of drop I was constantly breaking apart the plastic 2 inch components.

  • Well it is has now ran steady for over 5 months with only one stoppage due to a plastic check valves. Switching to an all brass one fixed the problem.

  • Dear msqtube: I'd have to be one hell of a fool to do all that work to grow weed. Besides...the only type that would make a comment like that is one of you New World Order sucklings that can't think for yourself so you are stuck on the security of the government tit. Everybody knows that truly honorable and intelligent people don't become cops and soldiers for corrupt governments. That kind of work, nowdays, is only for low grade, uneducated fools to stupid to see the light.

  • Could you build up your brick surround and raise the spillway to create a pool of water that submerges your foot pumps and muffles the clacking sound. Maybe add a drain valve in the brick surround for maintenance.

  • If he piping between the pump and the compensator is kept at the same diameter as the ram pipes, you will increase the efficiency.

Also for two pumps not working in perfect unison you will need two separate compensators to stop peak pressure pulses being lost to the neighbouring pump only the final output from the compensators should be married together.

  • Wait, Modoc? As in Oregon/California Modoc?

  • @mayanwci The length of the drive pipes controls the frequency of the clacks. Longer pipe means fewer but stronger pulses per minute and there is an ideal length for them for max flow at the desired head (pressure). The stand pipe provides a small reservoir for when your water source is too far away. So say your source is 300 feet from the pumps but your ideal drive pipe is only 60 feet you would put in a stand pipe at that 60/240 foot point. It has to be taller than the source water level.

  • "too" its spelled with two o's..........Too stupid to see.....I love the pump, great stuff

  • what weights did you use on the foot valves???

  • Nice work there man. Very nice indeed.

"New World Order" - dude's funny.

  • Way Cool OM!!! Thanks big time for your efforts! Jimmy:)

  • What is the purpose of the 6" stand pipe that is 7' tall with a sumersible pump also what is the use of the sumersible pump?

Do you have a material list?

I would like to speak with you if I may.

Please call me at your leisure.
