  • Tom could cover ANY song and make it better.

  • I would have to agree with you on that .

  • Great Slim Whitman song, and this version is fantastic. It's says a lot for Tom Jones that he recognised the quality in this C/W song and did it justice.

  • Couldn't have said it any better express770

    Thanks for watching

  • for some reason this song popped into my head. First heard it when i was a kid in the 70s. Haven't heard it since, till now.

  • good version,gd voice,gd song, when he screams he sounds like an idiot,he doesnt have to scream

  • Hit #1 on the Billboard country chart for 1 week in 1977

  • 2 people couldn't stay until tomorrow!

  • Brings back memories of April and early May 1977 for me. Incredible that Southern Nights by Glen Campbell,Heard It In A Love Song by Marshall Tucker Band,Margarittaville by Jimmy Buffet,Right Time Of The Night by Jennifer Warnes,Lucille by Kenny Rogers,Dancin Man by Q,and Lido Shuffle by Boz Scaggs I heard on the radio stations also being charted at the same time in the Spring of 1977.

  • Who is the 1 idiot who clicked dislike this video song?

  • My favorite Tom Jones song.

  • I have a Tom Jones greatest hits CD called The Complete Tom Jones, but that is a very bad title because this song does not appear in it. And I know this was a hit as I remember often hearing it on radio around early 1977.

  • didnt know this was a cover version, im sure its better than slim whitman ,lol

  • Tom hit #15 in Billboard, 3-26-77. Tom made 1 heck of a country singer, right, gang? God bless ya, EMAN, for postin' it. Thanx!
