Modified a telescope tripod that had a motor in it. Ive found pan works pretty good, but tilting .....not so attractive, or at least I haven't made it look good yet. Im still new to it, and an observant person will see the exposure change in the middle of the sequence, but all in all, it worked pretty good.
Aah, yeah I got a MEAD head for doing this a year ago, but the motor ended up breaking the second time i ran it, so I havent tried using one again.. Have you done many shoots with it?
Ive only had time to use it about 3 times. 2 test runs and then the fair rides at night. Ill do more when the situation fits it and I have the time. (took about 20 min for this one, and about an hour to get it into the editing program and tweek it)
Cool.. If you want, go to my profile and check out the panning time lapse I did at our fair last year.. Its the one i shot when my motor quit on me. It was cool while it worked.
awesome, how did you do the pan?
