26:38- "Next week, be sure to see Ann Sothern as 'PRIVATE SECRETARY'. Jack Benny's next television show will be seen two weeks from tonight. 'THE JACK BENNY PROGRAM' was brought to you by Lucky Strike- product of THE AMERICAN TOBACCO COMPANY, America's leading manufatcurer of cigarettes. This is Don Wilson, reminding you to 'Be Happy- Go Lucky!'. Good night...".
Isaac became very good friends with Jack after his initial appearance on his radio show in 1946, and always made at least one of two appearances every season. Eventually, they toured the "concert circuit", with Jack appearing in concerts with major orchestras on behalf of charitable organiztions...and together, they spearheaded the movement that saved Carnegie Hall from demolition in 1961 {topped off by a TV special that year, with both performing}.
Lol I love this episode!! Thanks again. I first saw this one after I played my violin in a competition for a shaminade music scholarship.. But lost. So it picked me up right away to find jack freaking out about his playing in this one xD!!
There is no question beyond any doubt that Issac Stern was a brilliant violinist without peer. But he was also a TERRIBLE actor!
