  • Although I still prefer Myra Hess' versions, this is very lovely. I've always loved Bauer's playing, and the more of him on YT the better.

  • Bauer's is better in my opinion, though harder to play...requires mammoth hands. Sounds great on a concert grand.

    I can't say for sure who wrote his or hers first, but Dame Myra's was published in 1926 and Bauer's was published in 1932.

    So I would assume that she probably wrote hers first.
