This video filmed after the ACTS match at one of the 4 stages we shot in Nov 2008 at Pima Pistol Club just North of Tucson, Arizona
This stage had cover with an opening low to the ground. This video shows the shooter firing the Glock 22 w/ Surefire light in a roll over prone at a steel gong 100 yards away

did the recoil still pull up or did it go down? (I'm guessing up)

Recoil pulls against you (your muscles and bones) not so much gravity, so it will kick in the direction your elbows let it ..

Whats the significance of this? Do most pistols malfunction when shot upside down?

Great question.. no I am not aware of any pistol that malfunctions upside down
I was simply testing the shot (filming myself) to see if it could capture the sight picture or the unusual perspective of a shot like this..
So many people just shoot standing up at the range and they never experience this kind of shooting.. theres also a bunch of stuff blasted up shooting this way
And of course barrel offset and changing mags ..
But it's only a minute so it can't do too much..
