On this episode of Head 2 Head, Angus MacKenzie pits the 2013 Subaru BRZ against its American rival - the 2013 Ford Mustang V6. After carving up canyon roads in both cars, Angus hands the keys over to pro race driver Randy Pobst for limit testing and hot laps around Streets of Willow racetrack. Find out which front engine, rear-wheel drive coupe reigns supreme!

CORRECTION - On the spec chart, the BRZ engine should be listed as simply a Flat-4. It is definitely not turbocharged!

OMG, you should just stop talking about cars. The BRZ has a flat 4 non-turbo 200 hp. Also, Subaru is Japanese, not Italian. Also, Ford was rated one of the worst in reliability by Consumer Reports. Everything you said was so wrong, not even funny.

Some mustangs might be better then subaru's, but the one they are comparing the brz to is most certainly not. Yes it might have more horsepower but that means nothing. Subaru is known for there rally cars, which means when they build a car its going to be more control focused then power oriented. On a drag strip the mustang is going to win but on the track the subaru is going to out preform it, mustangs are about power and to get the control of the subaru would mean rebuilding most of the car.

Uh, yeah, it clearly is an Italian manufacturer. Look it up. It is Italian through and through. Just look at the styling and it gives it away almost immediately. But, don't take my word for it. Go to your library and you can read all about the company in a book. Also, I would appreciate it if you refrained from using cuss words. There could be children around. Thanks.

Subaru is Japanese. Ford was only reliable pre 2000. Consumer Reports are average people like me and you.

Wow are you delusional. Anything to discredit asians huh. Subaru is 100% japanese. Has nothing to do with italy. Thats like saying fiat is japanese cuz its sound is japanese word origin... recognize that the japanese build good shit. Asians build good shit. The device you are looking at and typing on is from asia.

That's definitely a coincidence and it is not uncommon for different languages to share the same root words. Italy and Japan are roughly the same size, so it is pretty clear that they would have similar island-based cultures, including sharing much in the language. For instance, the Japanese word for bread is "pan" which clearly has Latin roots. Subaru is definitely an Italian name.
