I bought Mod 29 in 1973, it also is a 6.5" barrel. I have shot it six times in it's life. Paid $400 for it. By the way Dirty Harry used a 8 3/8 barrel.

pistols are much better than 2 handed rifles and such in my opinion. much fancier and looks awsome in display

I have a model 29-2. 8 3/8 in. barrel.I believe they were built in the mid to late 70's. I bought mine in 1978.I have shot several thousand rds. thru it and have never had a problem with it.It is probably my FAVORITE gun that i have!I also reload all my bullets for it.

I have a four inch model 29 that I like a lot. It was actually the first hand gun I ever bought back in 86. Well made gun and very accurate.
