Les Expositions Liégeoises, en images... histoire !

La Ville de Liège est candidate à organiser une Exposition internationale en 2017 en Belgique. La Cité Ardente a une longue expérience de la mise-en-oeuvre d'un tel événement.
En effet, elle présentait déjà en 1905, une Exposition universelle et internationale, à l'occasion du 75ème anniversaire de l'indépendance de la Belgique.
Ensuite, c'est en 1930 qu'elle organise à l'occasion du centenaire une Exposition internationale, simultanément avec la Ville d'Anvers.
La dernière en date fut une autre Exposition internationale, l'Exposition de l'Eau en 1939, sur le site de Coronmeuse.
C'est ce même site qui a été choisi pour accueillir ce projet d'Exposition internationale en 2017. Liège se présente à l'Europe et au Monde telle une ville idéalement placée au coeur de l'Europe, au centre des voies de communication.
Ce sont d'ailleurs ces voies de communication qui inspirent la Thématique de l'Exposition... communiquer et connecter le monde, et surtout les personnes :

The City of Liege is candidate to organize an International Expo in 2017 in Belgium. The city has a long history of this kind of event.
Indeed, the first in 1905, a World Expo, for the 75th anniversary of Belgiupm independence.
In 1930 was organized on the occasion of the centennial anniversary an International Expo, simultaneously with the City of Antwerp.
The latest was another international expo, the "Exposition of Water in 1939", on the Coronmeuse's site.
This same site has been chosen to host this international expo project in 2017. Liège comes to Europe and the world as a city ideally located in the heart of Europe, the center lines of communication.
It's these ways of communication that inspires the theme of the exhibition ... communicate and connect the world, and especially the people.
