"Have You Heard?" written by Lew Douglas, Frank LaVere, and Roy Rodde in 1952 was recorded by Joni James on the MGM label reaching #5 on the Billboard magazine charts in 1953. It was included on the album, Dedicated to You, a collection of her early hits and other favorites released in 1991 on the Beautiful Music Company label. Ten years later "Have You Heard?" became a hit again for The Duprees.

The LaVere who co-wrote this composition was FRANK LaVere, the same fellow who composed nat Cole's famous "Pretend". It was not Charlie LaVere.

Wikipedia credited it to Charlie LaVere, but additional research shows that you are correct. It was Frank LaVere. Are you related?

Lew Douglas one of the writers of this song played a big part in Joni's early
career. He was a wonderful arranger. "Have You Heard?" was a two million
plus seller.
