Thank you ZAGG for the shield! http://zagg.com

After seeing the videos on Gizmodo about the signal problem, I decided to try a different solution. On short notice the guys at ZAGG hooked me up with an Invisible Shield. This covers the front, back, and most of the metal sides and top.

After getting it installed we were unable to duplicate the signal loss problem, however after a bit of fiddling we were able to get it to break again.

Where the skin covers the metal it seems to help protect against the signal problem, but it's still possible to get your skin on bare metal and the problem comes back.

Bottom line? The ZAGG skin seems to make it harder to create the signal problem, but not impossible. More testing will be done today to see if this is still the case

Sorry for the quality, this is the last video I will shoot on my 3GS before it goes up on ebay this weekend.

  • The antennae issue really isn't an issue. All smart phones do the same thing. Go look at the Apple channel. There's a video pointing this out. Get the fuck over it already. If you have such an issue, go back to using a dumb phone.

  • @ORTONISLIKEGOD Sweety my speakers are fine, I'm on a 3K MacBook Pro, get a better mic!

  • It's not the phone it's AT&T. I had at&t and now I have Verizon and iPhone 4 mow I'm a happy camper. Oh and I had at&t for 15yrs

  • My iPhone 4 never had this problem in the first place. Just get a decent carrier.

  • Fake!!!!

  • HI....I CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING!!!!

  • he didnt show the bottom right, so we cant be sure if the shield is even covering the antenna. and as you can see his really palmed that area real good when he held it. people wouldn't talk on the phone like that anyways. you hold the phone like that when you are looking at it in front of you. im wondering if the zagg side only strip for the antenna works. its a long strip that covers the whole bottom left i believe. this guy is just testing a normal full body shield, which doesnt cover corners.

  • Just dont hold it so hard

  • dude the part isnt even covered you clearly put it on the wrong way mine works fine dont listen to this idiot
