By his own actions, the fastest creature in the world is brought to a slow, painful crawl.

Thanks newgrounds.com for their sponsorship, without which I couldn't have paid the amazing music guy!

This is the 7th Brackenwood movie, but it's the 5th that features Bitey, the scourge of the forest planet.

--

The music is by Nathan McCree, said to be the best composer in the games industry over the past 10 years. I consider myself lucky to have had him on board.

--

The software used is Flash 100%. Some of the swarms are hand-drawn by me, and some of them are actionscripted (programmed in Flash) by Snepo.

  • how did you get the real water drops in the begining or have you pinted them?

  • @ocke13 I'll take that as a compliment, thanks! Those aren't real.. they're designed and hand-drawn directly into Flash using the brush tool.

  • You are the best at animating water... and it's done in Flash-- oh my god.

  • I love this so much :3 I saw it on NG now i'll subscribe on Youtube :3

  • @Qwertype315 Hmm.. I don't think so. Animating water is considered special effects animation, and you do that all by hand, frame by frame. The only thing I could think of using actionscript for is animating individual tiny water droplets and using actionscript to duplicate that same movie clip, but that looks really repetitive and cheap. Then again, I haven't dabbled too much in special effects with flash, so it might be possible.

  • also i'm trying to find the music from 4:30, heard it before and searched forest theme, can't find anything

  • @Splendoodle is there a way of using actionscript to make animating them easier?

  • was the whole animation made with Flash?

  • The animation was awesome, but the first thing that got me watching was the music, and after that it was a blend of sheer intrigue and beauty that kept me watching. Loved every second of this.

  • some of the most breathtaking animation I've ever seen. No giant production team, just one guy named Adam. I hope you are recognized for your amazing work and we'd love to see more animation in 2012.

  • Why not HD??? Flash on your site is bad because you cant stop it or to know how long tll the end. Why don't do player or upload 720p? Cartons are awesome.

  • how many of those did he ate

  • You should upload these in 720 or 1080p, that'd be awesome.
