Your “stick trick” is half the speed of Rich’s. And, Rich did not use one hand double strokes in any from. Lame....... :/

LOL!!! This explains alot. I thought that in the case of Buddy Rich, when he does this, that he was holding his left hand static and striking the left stick [through] with the right stick. I actually tried doing it that way and, of course, it doesn't produce the same effect or sound. This is a good explanation. Thanks for uploading.
