Demonstrations like this show technical ideas but they don't show the speed & power generated. It's not the technique that is devastating but the power. So, it doesn't matter what the response would be to a good left-right combo. The training in this art form was designed to generate a tremendous amount of power from many areas of the body against your opponent's soft or vital parts. Demos only show possible movements and forms which mean little without the necessary speed & power.
