1957 was a great year for the Ford car. When you look at a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 today, it is difficult to believe that it is a 50 year old design. The Fairlane 500 was the top of the Ford line and had a new frame which allowed a lower height without cutting into the interior roominess. The car was longer and wider than in previous years, as well.
This 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 2 door hardtop is powered by a "Police Interceptor" Y-block V8, 312 cid (5.1L) 245 hp 4bbl Thunderbird Special. It has an automatic transmission, power steering, radio, heater, AIR CONDITIONING, power windows, power seats, a good set of dual exhausts, and baby moons. Most of the chrome and stainless pieces are in the trunk. Currently it is painted gold and the interior has been redone. What a great knock around classic car for not a lot of money!
