It's not a song about literal suicide, it is a song about killing a part of yourself, or removing a person from yourself like they were a gangrenous limb. It's about being able to move on ... much like #silverchair did when they decided that cookie cutter pop was better than real rock

@savannahmusiclife i would kill my self i would rest a room in a great hotel,i wouls spent the nigth drinking ,listening to great songs and i would mixed it up with a lot of pills....painless death....but that´s just me....
