I saw where the writer of this song is listed as J. Dixon. Do you think the "J" stands for none other than "Jessy"? I know he's been around for a while, it could be him, but I'm not sure.

I wish our younger listeners would refer to the methods and techniques demonstrated here!
This sound is too valuable to fade away in the past. I believe that if more of our younger listener gravitated toward this type of sound, they would become better persons. This is a comment from a member of a yunger generation!

I am truly blessed by this recording today. I tried to have it played at a funeral and the funeral home could not find it. I did not think to look it up on YouTube. Thank you so much for posting this. My daughers great-grandfather song this song all the time.
