  • @chocmonster The great thing about inglenooks is they can be built on a tiny budget. I built the baseboard and backscene for Ingleton out of scrap in the garage, so it kind of cost nothing! All I needed was a piece of 45x7 inch quality ply glued and screwed to a frame of 1x0.5 inch softwood. The other advantage is that you need minimal amounts of stock, especially if you build a five wagon puzzle!

  • @ThePallen105 I'm getting round to building my own form of Inglenook (it's taken 5 years so far) and have a complete lack of woodworking skills and a small budget.

An ironing board, though could be just perfect…

  • @chocmonster Thanks! Although I can't claim to be original with the idea. A number of other modellers have beaten me to the concept, however an ironing board is a great place to start designing track plans!

  • Great idea!
