I know -I'M- impressed whenever I see someone who has a Time magazine subscription, I'd be even more impressed if they had that phone.
That "They grow coffee here" line has always been in the back of my mind, and now I know where it comes from. Another mystery solved.

That Hamburger Helper Chili commercial is evil. But the Time designer phone does look quite stylish. Much more stylish than the lame phone currently in my house that doesn't work when the power goes out...also more stylish than my dad's over-priced iPhone.

"Sign up to pay for a magazine that you can read online for free, and we'll send you a phone that you have to plug into the wall and that you can't play Angry Birds on!". Yeah, I know this is 20 years old, but I can't help but think that.
It's been years since I've seen Family Ties, but I'm pretty sure that's a Very Special Episode.
Homemade chili doesn't take that long to make. And even if it did, I'd still prefer it over Hamburger Helper.

tell the truth the only reason all men ordered the sports illustrated was for the swim suit edition they sent.

"But not totally unexpected." Funny line by Mr. Spock.

4:18 I bet after 20 years of being converted to wireless phone handsets, people will want corded phone, just for the nostalgic feel.

Time offers "convenient home delivery" (5:44).

Hmm, the Sports Illustrated football phone does sound intriguing...but I'm really into color options when it comes to free telephones acquired through magazine subscriptions.
And I have to say, I'm still reeling over all the color options on the Time Magazine phone. A rich red, a great gray, beautiful blue and a wonderful white? So many choices! And it's a "designer" phone. I don't know what that means, but it sounds fancy and expensive!
