Trucking companies pay more because there is a lot more work and responsibility required than when pulling dry van. I met Keith a minute ago and he gave me a little insight about what pulling flat bed is all about.

  • used to drive flatbed, there is a lot more headaches in flatbeds and yes it pays more, but you lose the extra money in time it takes to secure each load.the drop and in hook guy is making more miles while you are tarping

  • @juseph29 Wow, I see 3 people hit you so far with a thumbs up man, that tells me your case was not isolated. I thought the majority of you guys got in and out before we did.

  • @juseph29 thats the joy of paper logs tho ;) if you dont have those fuckin e-logs -_-

  • @lifeasatrucker how much does a person make driving hotshot? is there a special license needed to transport material.

  • @juseph29 is fast to tarp and you do exercise if you are lazy is better dry ban

  • @lifeasatrucker yes, flatbed freight is exposed to weather so a lot of it has to loaded, secured and tarped oposed to dry van that has a lot of drop and hook.please drivers,i am speaking of MOST ,not ALL cases

  • @inilledra i pulled flat steps & at the end RGN's

i was in sorry shape from holding the wheel 98% of the time

yes tarping & chaining will help some but it's still not enough

the human body was not designed to sit 10 hours a day

i still miss it but now i'm home every night & i get to sleep in a real bed

    be safe out there

  • After 40 years of hay hauling flat bed trucking, the Combination Ratchandle winch was designed by a trucker to make it easier for many flatbed haulers. Realizing a trucker can make more income by flatbed hauling, there are many labor intensive procedures truckers work with daily that eventually steers them away from flatbedding. One major way of eliminating this arduous process is making a better tie down winch that works faster, safer and more convenient. This is what it is all about!

  • @schuria40 retired,but will pass the word

  • @juseph29 If you want to be able to save time in flatbed trucking (and do it more safer) check out my video introducing the Cargo Tie Down Combination Ratchandle winch. If you are not trucking anymore, we would be pleased if you tell others about this. Thank You!
