Aha!! ...the answer to my question -- I thought so; that he is her husband... When I saw/heard them in Los Angeles, circa 1982 in concert, they sang this scene even better! He also sang Vesti la giubba(Pagliacci) and his voice was so loud that it hurt the ears to listen! By far the biggest tenor voice I have ever heard ---even Corelli and Vickers were not so loud! ...and very talented, very good musicianship. Is this perf. available on video?

Excellent finale of the Poland Scene, thank you RADAMES1983 for uploading this treasure! I have the legendary Arkhipova's Marina in the 1962 Melodyia classic recording, I never thought I would see her singing it! And Vladislav Piavko is perfect, a true heldentenor (they are married in real life!).
