Marquette's Urban Scholars

Your support makes a difference. Just ask incoming first-year student Tommy Walls, who is attending Marquette on an Urban Scholarship. Marquette's Urban Scholars Program provides full-tuition scholarships each year to 10 high-achieving students, including two members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. Tommy was the 2010 Youth of the Year for the Milwaukee region, state of Wisconsin and Midwest region, and he competed to be the National Youth of the Year. Tommy recently shared his story of perseverance and his path to the Boys & Girls Clubs — and, ultimately, Marquette — at a BGCA awards dinner.
