Nick sat down at the lunch table, looking around the cafeteria at his fellow employees. "When will this day end?" He whispered to himself, as he delicately rubbed his temple, a small sigh flowing out of his lips as a result.

"What's up Nick?" David piped in, quickly swinging into the chair across from him. Nick smiled softly at the man, waving before taking a bite from his PB&J sandwich that he ate every day.

"So, I heard old man Jenkins's got the pink slip." David began, trying to make conversation with the quiet boy. "I mean he was what, 70? And out of my 8 months working here I have not seen him sell a car." David explained, laughing his way through it.

Nick nodded, a small smile blooming onto his lips. "He was a nice man though." Nick added softly. "God bless him."

"He isn't dead!" David laughed, referring to Nick's last statement. "He was just shipped to ol' Shady Oaks by his daughter." He chuckled, taking a bit from his Caesar salad.

Frankie wrapped his hand around his house key as he unlocked the front door, scampering into the house. "Joe?" He asked aloud, afraid to see if the menace was home.

Joe stepped back from the fridge to look at his little brother. "Oh, hi Frankie." He mumbled softly, before pulling the milk out. He brought the container to his lips, as he began to gulp down the cold liquid.

Frankie let a squeak escape his lips, realizing that his brother lacked the memory of the night before. Letting his exhaustion take over, he plopped down on the couch. Grabbing his backpack, he unzipped it quickly.

Joe diverted his eyes to the window as his keen eye sight noticed about 3 well dressed adults making their way to their front door. His nose twitched in confusion as he sat up, ready to answer the door.

Frankie continued to finish his math problems, drinking a juice box every few moments or so. "48 divided by 8 is...6!" He exclaimed to himself, proud of his answer.

As Joe began walking to the door, his ears filled with the sound of dinging, the continuous sound of the bell being pressed. Annoyed by the person's lack of patience, he swung the door open. "What?" He sneered.

Anne turned to look at the other two with her, biting her lip as she looked back at Joe. "I'm Anne Hathaway, your brother Frankie's teacher." She began, as she faked a smile. "Is it Joe?" She asked, referring to his name.

Joe nodded, turning to look at Frankie, before back at the older brunette. "Can I help you?" He asked, his eyes shuffling through the three adults.

"You can." Anne replied, motioning to the two beside her. "This is Miss Johnston, and that is Miss Martinez." She placed her hands on the door, pushing it open for her to enter. "We need to speak to you privately Mr. Jonas."

Joe scratched his neck confused as he shut the door behind him. "You aren't from the IRS are you?" He stuttered out nervously.

Anne laughed, looking at the two women behind her. "No Joseph, these two are woman are from child services." She replied, looking over at Frankie. "I know what you did to him." She whispered, looking back at the confused adult.

"Child services? What are you talking about? What did I do to Frankie?" Joe gasped out, in utter amazement as he watched one of the woman walk over to his youngest brother.

Anne shook her head, a look of vile disgust crossing her face. "You are a pathetic excuse for a man!" She screamed, stepping closer to him. "My god you don't deserve to live." She spat, pushing her finger into his chest. Anne stepped away from Joe, lowering herself to Frankie's level. "Hey Frankie." She smiled; admiring the picture he was coloring.

Frankie looked up, dropping his crayons to the coffee table. "Hi Miss Hathaway!" He shouted, standing up to hug his teacher.

Anne smiled as she place her hands on his back, giving him a soft pat. "I need you to come with me Frankie. We'll go pick up some dinner, and then I need you to go talk to a few friends of mine okay?" She kissed his cheek softly, grabbing his hand.

"Oh, I'd love to but I can't leave the house. My brother Nick says so." He frowned as he looked back at Anne.

"Don't worry sweety, Nick's okay with it." Anne motioned for Frankie to go towards the other two women. Anne looked at Joe, her eyes burning. "As for you, a suit will be filed." Glaring, she shut the door behind her, leaving Joe in complete silence.

Joe looked around him, his eyes widened. "What the hell did I do?" He whispered to himself.
