  • This is a great knife, I had purchased the big rock with a half serrated blade and it was awesome for every task I used it for such as cleaning fish, cutting small trees and limbs, whittling etc. However if you loan it out and loose the edge to some very careless sharpening technique it is impossible to get the proper edge back so I am buying a new big rock without the serrated edge. Great knife

  • @maddogtjones I agree- Its a good knife for the money. Thanks for the comment, Have a good one!

  • The handle slabs are too thin on the BR.

It is a fact and not an impression.

  • @nopainnogainfreenet I agree with you that the slabs are too thin, it's probably a cost saving measure. Who knows, someone may like it this way. I personally enjoyed the overall design. I guess I'm willing to deal with a thin handle in exchange for the price. thanks for the comment. Have a good one!

  • I am a 15 year old boy scout and i was tihking about getting this to take on camp. do you think it looks a bit to much like a combat knife? do you think people not farmiliar with knives would be offended or angry about me having it? i live in the UK so its a bit different than in the US.

  • @MATTNATTMATT Hello from the USA! I am unfamiliar with UK knife laws, but I can tell you this knife doesn't have the typical characteristics of a fighting blade. It looks like a beefy kitchen knife. It has no camouflage patterning, no sharp edge on the spine for stabbing, and no aggressive name. It was designed for camping, and I would not be concerned about appearances. Furthermore, it works well for your intended purpose. Check UK laws about blade length, and stay safe. Have a good one!

  • Dang man, do you always have to be right! If you can get this knife south of $25 it's a great deal. The soft rubber handle will wear but it is comfy. My Boy broke some of the serrations but hey, he's real good at breaking things. This is a very good knife and fun to use. Good job!

  • I love this knife. It's the perfect beater knife, not expensive, so you're not afraid to bang it up. I like that it has some weight to it and it has a thick spine.

  • @MATTNATTMATT

i dont think you can make a knife more modern and ergonomic and less intimidating than this.

if someone has a problem with this knife, it is his mindset and not the big rock.

  • @yhckelly yeah, i know all the length laws. for camping i think its 7inches. EDC is a non locking/non fixed blade under 2.5 inches. (might be 3 inches) for hunting i think its a 12 inch blade. just thought i would let you know :)
