Isn't sweet red bean paste normally made with azuki beans?

Don't know but when you add sugar and process the beans it doesn't even matter still taste the same

Do you have drain 'soaking' water before boiling in fresh water?

The tool I'm using is a hand held processor cost like $10 at walmart, other tools you can use is a blender or pestle also can try a masher just wait until the beans are soft.

Yes, but Red beans are also a good alternative as for kidney beans not so sure tho.

@dHmongDudecAncOOk it doesnt really taste the same...it has a more bean-ish taste. But of course I dunno if I cooked it right. LOL
