Hello guys, this my first tutorial on Adobe After Effects !!

Watch the final result here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vHWtUOXtUs

The Expression:
radius=200
angle=time*200;
x=radius*Math.cos(degreesToRadians(angle));
y=radius*Math.sin(degreesToRadians(angle));
z=time*200
center=[960,540,0];
add(center,[x,y,z]);

  • Is there a way to have an object inside that spiral? I have tried 3 d layers but, even when y plae the object in the correct position, the particelas are always in front of the object. could somenone help?

  • @TheKikeSaltos Hello, this problem is well known with particular and has been discussed already. You can use the option of "Obscure Layer" inside particular itself. Try this technique out although you may find out that it is not quite accurate and smooth as you were expecting.

    Best wishes !

  • when i enter the expression it gives me an error message saying:

    After effects warning: Syntax error

    Expression Disabled

    Error occured at line 3

    Comp:'Pre-comp 1'

    Layer: 2 ('Emitter')

    Property: 'Position'

    What do i do 0.0

  • @TheCursedBanana It sounds very weired... this expression should generate movement.

    Please check if you have copied it as it is, no missing things.

    If it is not working, please contact me.

    I will be glad to help you :)
