people stfu. both different cars. one is made to go fast and the other is made to go 3 times as fast. cant put against each other doesnt matter if it modded or not.

@valentinfedorchak : i drive a 99 T5(M) and just to let you know from experience you will need a T5 to make your volvo go fast. And yes you are right an M5 will be faster than a volvo easily if both are modded, they're not on the same level really not in my eyes. The T5 can be fast but an M5 is made to go even faster.

Well, let's see...an automatic 5-cyl making about 265hp (if he thinks he's getting 294bhp from just a tune, he's higher than Bob Marley's ghost)...and a manual 6 cyl making either 310bhp or 340bhp in stock form. Yeah...pretty sure manual 310 > auto 265. lol.

dude the m5 is always gonna be faster then any volvo and its not a fair race if you just do mods to one car and leave the other stock yeah if you put money in a volvo it will be faster then a m5 but think about if you put the same money into a m5 how fast that will be so stop being stupid both cars are great

i just bought a 1998 volvo s70 glt as a first car and wanna know some things i can do to make it faster

hmm nice vid. bmw's and volvos are both really nice cars and have their strengths and weaknesses, but when it comes down to it, i went volvo for its cost effectiveness, and although my 95 glt 5 speed isnt turbo, i plan on eventually swappin an engine in so i can destroy guidos in their bmws (i live in NY)

I agree that the M motors are fantastic! But these Inline HPT 5cyl are so strong and quick with some mods! My car has just bolt-on stuff: Bigger OEM Turbo, DP, FMIC, Rica tune . now has 350+HP and 400+trq!

My point is the M3s are not as fast as i thought they were? But thats the difference with an engine that has more NM than TRQ! and i dont mean diesel, as that ratio is so far apart!
