What class!

@Vitte4 it's called sarcasm, a form a humor employed by those who assume their audience has the tiniest trace of self-confidence

@AmyMfansite The law hasn't changed on this. He still couldn't

So I gather Fadiman was on during a vacation for Mr Daly. Considering Dorothy Kilgallen was so highly placed in society and publishing I suspect that Fadiman went out the door quite quickly.
-
One reason for the tone of Fadiman's remarks toward Dorothy is that they were best of friends and worked together on many projects.

Bob Hope wasn't born in the United States so he couldn't be President....back then.

@tedhobgood you are full of crap. just like the people who say was a hard ass game player which I whole heartly disagree just like one poster who said on a clip in which she passed her turn that was the only she ever passed i found 16 times in which she passed including times someone said they knew who the mystery guest was.

.@westsidestory97 Since this was 1958, my guess as that Daly was on assignment for ABC News. In addition to anchoring the ABC Evening News until 1960, Daly also did documentaries.

I dunt like that dude... i like John Daly WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better...... what a douche! :/ but the clip was good :)
Was anyone *ever* so hard on Kilgallen than Fadiman was here! "I don't know how intelligent Dorothy is" in terms of knowing what "oui" meant (!) ... "Ask the question, Dorothy" (in an impatient tone) ... "This shouldn't be that hard for this brilliant panel -- That goes for you too, Dorothy." MAN! What an effete horse's ass!
