His debut solo album, 'Keepin' Love New' (produced by renowned artists such as Kashif, Paul Laurence and Morrie Brown) was released in 1982 and featured the Top 50 UK hit 'So Fine'. 'Take Me Through The Night' is off the same album, and can only be described as a 'Sweet' tune.

  • Howard Johnson Very Great artist , FUNKY FOR EVER :)

  • He would have had several hits off this album but SO FINE just sucked the life outta the universe that summer...i remember it like is was yesterday....all the great hits out that time had to take a backseat to SO FINE...omg...the kids used to storm the dance floor when the intro alone cued up....JUMP TO IT by Aretha, LOVE COME DOWN and I CAN'T STAND IT both by Champagne King...he even x'd his other hits out with his own song! Loved this album..vintage and trademark Kashif at his best.Lordy!!!

  • @hacene592 You have to translate...

  • @isabelle0604 That's what I'm saying. Who needs cuss words in R&B? All we need is funk and emotions.

  • sounds like kashif production

  • Mannn~ this song is jamming. Me & my seven yr old daughter have been making up dances to it. We have listened to it at least 20 times today. Check, it's a banger.

  • j adore

  • I've been putting people on this album & i always start with this song, not So Fine. Only because they will miss the other classics on this album if i start with that. Crazy underrated album.

  • One of the best FUNK albums ever and I have a few.......bonjour xxxx
