Stress is a legend, better delivery now then back in the 70's.....this man should have made millions...young musicians should be learning from him....Cleveland was so much better off because of his dedication to his art.....thanks for the great music, Mr. Stress..and for a lot of Cleveland kids you were our first exposure to live blues.....guess we got spoiled....the scene is dead in this town now.....
I used to frequent the Brick on Euclid to catch Mr. Stress in the late 70's. I was just getting interested in the blues and Stress was just the ticket. I liked all versions of his band but really liked when guitarist Pontiac Slim played with the band. Also saw Freddie King at the Smiling Dog Saloon and BB King at the Arena. Those times fueled a lifelong passion for the blues. Good to see Stress is still at it. I remember his set closer - "Drink up 'cause the more you drink the better we sound".

Used to see him on Wednesday's and Saturday's at Euclid Tavern, way back when. I'm looking specifically for his version of Sweet Home Chicago.

Mr. Stress at the old Cleveland Agora.... what funky memories. Long Live The North Coast - the best rock n roll place on Earth.
