@megaspasm You should know that the 'best theory' is the one which is supported by the evidence, as more evidence arises we can get closer and closer to the whole truth of the universe. Such an honesty to observation is probably unique to science.
Additionally, surely if you believe in this KC stuff - you should know enough about it to convince others? There should be no need for someone who has made it their job to make up complicated sentences which say nothing at all.
@megaspasm Life is a potential set of characteristics which an organic composition can have. If something can reproduce, grow, metabolise etc - it is classed as being alive. There is no 'spiritual energy' to be seen.
The squid is no longer alive because it cannot grow, move, reproduce etc.
Who is to say that cows are not more conscious than you or I?
imo, krishna consciousness prevents you from looking at the world as it really is and substitutes the truth for a cloud of nonsense.
@MRaverz and that is my guru you said was talking nonsence. im not qualified to be giving these answers i can only try my best but look if you rely want to get some beafit from your life please find a guru like devamrita swami and ask them and argue the points your trying to adress they will put you in the right direction. i no because i was like you with my science (which is nothing more than best theory wins by the way) then i put my foot in the door of K C and have never looked back
@MRaverz what do you mean life isnt energy? life is spirit (spiritual) or if you wana give it a material term 'cosciousness' or awareness. depending on the type of body determins the level of cosciousness cow vs human. at the time of death the body is still completly intact like you said disecting a squid it was still all there bt why then is it no longer catorgarised as alive? wats missing? look dude your obviously very intelegent im not tryin to offend you but K C is the meaning of life lol
@megaspasm Right, you say that life is energy. But it isn't. You need to define what you mean by energy because you certainly don't mean 'the potential to do work' as it is defined in physics.
You also need to prove that this energy exists and leaves the body after death, you can't just state that it does - you need to prove that it does.
Plus, when I was dissecting a squid a couple weeks back I found that it was still beautiful without being alive. Others would agree wholeheartedly.
@MRaverz life is the energy that animates everything, it is what leaves the body at the time of death. it is there before and at the time of birth and as the body grows and changes it stays the same then at death when the body stops being animate that energy moves on to its next destination tree, plant, fish human. yes dogs are beautiful just like everything but its only because it has life. no one loves dead bodys and even if you did the body eventualy seace to exist so there love is limited
@megaspasm Life itself doesn't change? You're not really saying anything there because you haven't defined what you mean by 'life'.
Also, why are you devaluing dogs? Don't you see how amazing it is that they exist? The process behind it is mind-bogglingly beautiful. Far more beautiful that your wishy-washy spiritualism.
@MRaverz you have read bhagavad gita as it is and srimad bhagavatam?? i dout it, atleast not the whole thing, and even if you have read it did you take up the process?. life it self dude the underlying force, it dosnt change, even a child can see that, yet everything changes and dies, my body your body, trees fish change and die yet life it self goes under no change at all. that shows that there is more than just matter. yes you do exist but what is the point in just surviving a dog does that.
@megaspasm I've read the literature, it tends to be vacuous.
Krishna consciousness isn't a science, calling it one displays a misunderstanding of the meaning of the word.
Additionally, you don't need to make up things like spirituality to live a fulfilling life. If you really think you need to make up nonsense like that, I feel sorry for you - you're missing out on what life has to offer. The simple fact that you exist should be enough to make you feel like it's worth living.
@MRaverz like i said read the literature dont just speculate and think you know what your on about. krsna consciousness is a self contained science you cant say what it is from the outside in, how do you no wat honey tastes like if you dont open the bottle and put some in your mouth. well have fun in your empty life with no meaning or substance of meat eating and masturabating to entertain yourself because you have no idea what your doing oyer and becoming an animal in your next life
