1trillion a year on war and Empire building
We have the means of taking care of our citizens....but Corruption and ignorance makes it impossible.
Why are we spending more than the next 10 countries combined in offensive war toys?
Rubio is a bitch who sucks the Government tit and doesn't want anyone else to benefit.

You're assuming I see something wrong in socialistic programs; I don't. We already have many in this country, and will probably have more as our population continues to grow and age rapidly. I consider it our responsibility to vote for the candidates who will address serious health care issues in this country with an aim toward making sure everyone has access to decent medical care. I would not call that communism; I'd call it compassion and fairness; wouldn't you?
-
This isn't "The Waltons", correct. People die. People die because they lived an unhealthy life or because they genetically never had a chance or even because they're poor. But even a person that died "because they were poor" must have not been able to afford some very modern medical fix. There is a mass delusion currently that government can somehow be God and do away with illness and death.
And how can "be cared for equally" mean anything but communism/socialism?
-
Well, then what DOES follow logically? The bottom line is, how are we going to help people who get seriously ill and have no access to health care? As I said before, this isn't "The Waltons"; that was a TV show, and it's dangerous to believe that it ever was or is based in reality. In this country, the people ARE supposed to be the government, and if we decide to be compassionate, we can tell those who work for us that we want all of us to be cared for equally.

You assume much about "the idiot audience members", and that's not to say I'm one of them. Even assuming it's a valid point about the average audience member, I think it's a valid point about culture and morals, not government. You imply that it's government's role to help someone because their neighbor won't. It's most definitely not.
But then who will help them?, I hear you saying. This is not a statement that follows logically and you may need to try hard to realize this.
-
Yes, I've lived in Central Florida most of my life, where a lot of blue-collar retirees choose to live. I felt confident making that statement based pretty much on some of the horrible things I've heard them say over the years. It's very sad, but it's true. "The Waltons" never existed, no matter how much Rubio wants his audience to believe they did.
While Rubio is blathering on about helping out your neighbor if he/she gets deathly ill, all his idiot audience members are thinking "Yeah, sure, that's right, that's how we did it in the Old Days..." Afterward, if they get home and find a message on their answering machine from the neighbor they've said three words to in 15 years saying "I'm sick and have no insurance, can you please help me?" they erase it and try to forget they ever heard it. "I don't owe that deadbeat anything!"
