In his autobiography Bob Denver related how the crew was Begging him to pie Tina Louise (who they detested)in this scene..afraid he'd get canned Bob made sure she'd catch some of the side-splatter which can clearly be seen in this take.

True, but it was not intentional; it flew off of Howell's face. Gilligan and the Skipper were pied several times, Howell once (as a note-- on an early episode, Howell has a bucket of mud dumped on his head). I don't remember the professor getting pied. None of the women were ever targeted to receive a pie.

I presume they were all coconut pies. Did Maryann make all these pies? She was the most domestic one on the island. The pies appeared to have crust also. I don't think wheat or grain products would grow on the island, I know, it is just a TV show.
In the second scene, it reminds me of Laruel (Gilligan) and Hardy (Skipper), especially how Skipper nods after giving Gilligan his "just dessert". He did hit Gilligan kind of hard
