That lady from America was Minnie Way! Went to America, aged 65, to look after her brother when his wife died, came back when he died. She was over 80 then, lived until she was 103, and was going out 'to entertain the auld fowk' when she was over 100! Whu a Wummin!

I remember the Overgate in the 50's, my mother would take me to Birrel's shoe shop to but shoes, funnily enough.

Yes, they knocked down the old Overgate to build this modern rubbish which didn't last long. It's already been demolished and nobody has fond memories of it. If they had restored the Old Overgate it would have been the biggest visitor attraction north of Edinburgh.

They probably got their accents fae Dens Road Market or Jimmy Reids in the Seagate lol. Whar the fuck is the word Flabbergasted in the Dundee Dictionary ( 1:38) Must be fae The Ferry!
